Catalina Patiño (Manizales 1983)
 Jeweller and Architect. Her main interest is in the relationship between projects of different scales and complexities: a river, a house, a museum, a garden, an object, a jewel. Catalina Patiño has an Architecture degree from UPB Architecture Faculty (Colombia, 2006), as well as studies of Architecture for a Complex World from the Universidad de Alicante (Spain, 2007). She studied Jewellery in Eafit Univesity  2009-1010 and since 2010 with the Jeweller Helena Aguilar.  She was co-founder of Ctrl-G between 2008-2015, and founded CAPA Architecture in 2015 and  CAPA Jewellery  (before Uno de Uno, since 2010) 

Her work as architect has been nominated and in  national and International awards. The Medellin Museum of Modern Art, MAMM has been nominated for this year’s prestigious “Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize for Emerging Architecture” prize. In 2012 Ctrl-G was awarded the XV prize Lápiz de Acero “Profetas en su tierra” in Colombia as well as an Honorary Mention in the XXIII Colombian Biennale of architecture 2012 for the Pajarito la Aurora  kindergarten. Her work has been extensively published in magazines such as Mark magazine N° 38, A+U N°496, Harvard Design Magazine N° 34, Architectural Record N° 03 2012, Arquitectura Viva  N°138, Abitare N° 514 among others.

CÂPÂ jewelry is an artistic creation place in which each piece is design and manufactured by hands of diverse people from Antioquia. Since 2010 we have been fabricating traditionally jewels that are story tellers through colors, forms and textures; and invite you to wear ideas, images and experiences than will be always around the memory.

Behind from each jewel we knit a symbiotic relation between individual, community and environment; over de years our work team has incorporated artisans who support our local manufacturing. Furthermore, in CÂPÂ we work with high quality materials and whenever possible we work with recycled metals and ecofriendly gemstones.
