ANDREA LANDA\u00b4S connection with fashion emerged in an innate way, since she was a little girl she has been surrounded by patterns, buckles and countless leather skins. Supplies and materials that were part of her mother’s leather goods workshop, a space where she grew up seeing the work of Colombian artisans and sharing the creative process involved in the design.<\/p>

In 2005 she began her studies in Fashion Marketing and Communication at the European Design Institute in Barcelona. In 2008, Andrea graduated from IED and began her year internships at major firms such as Emblem Communications, Adrian Mustelin Spectales and Martin Lamothe. For Andrea, all that she had learned, tied in with her connection with fashion, were unequivocal conditions which led her to enroll in 2009 at the Istituto Marangoni in London, where she began her Fashion Design studies. There, she regained touch with her creative roots; The result: her first collection that was presented in 2012, awarded as the best of her cohort. That same year, she received the invitation of the Cali Exposhow to present her collection at the event; This was her first catwalk, which earned her excellent reviews and several commercial proposals. Circumstances that motivated her to assume the leadership of the her mom\u00b4s workshop and the beginning of her own brand.<\/p>

Thus Andrea Landa, the brand, was born. A timeless and universal proposal that combines both a traditional and a contemporary language. Qualities that quickly caught the attention of the public and the media, in fact, in 2013 she participated in El Cubo, a platform that announces new fashion proposals in her native country. In 2014, she was selected for the Culture E Catwalk of the Medellin City Hall and that same year the designer received the IAF – Designer Fashion Award, an international recognition, which led her to present her collection the following year in Turkey. In 2015, she was part of Colombiamoda’s Non Stop space and was awarded by Infashion Magazine as 2015 Revelation Designer of the year. In 2016, she participated again in Colombiamoda with the Infashion Catwalk. During 2017, the brand focused on consolidating its identity and opening international markets. In 2018 Andrea Landa returned to Colombiamoda and was part of the Chevrolet Catwalk.<\/p>

Catalina Landa her sister with more than 15 years of experience in retail, marketing and brand management, after working with brands such as Nine West, Steve Madden, Parfois, The North Face, amongst others; has joined the team as the Commercial Director of the brand. Together with their father Jos\u00e9 Carlos who is the financial director, they work day by day to strengthen their sustainable business strategies focused on international markets in order to bring this legacy to the world.<\/p>

Currently the brand produces all the garments with 100% Chrome Free leather and every single piece is hand cut and handmade in their workshop in the center of Medellin-Colombia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Su conexi\u00f3n con la moda surgi\u00f3 de manera innata, pues desde ni\u00f1a estuvo rodeada por moldes,\u00a0 herrajes e infinidad de pieles. Insumos y materiales que hac\u00edan parte del taller de marroquiner\u00eda de\u00a0 su madre, un espacio en el que creci\u00f3 viendo el trabajo de los artesanos colombianos y\u00a0 compartiendo los procesos creativos que encierra el dise\u00f1o.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

En 2005 inici\u00f3 sus estudios de mercadeo y comunicaci\u00f3n de moda en el Instituto Europeo de\u00a0 Dise\u00f1o en Barcelona. En 2008, Andrea se gradu\u00f3 del IED e inici\u00f3 su a\u00f1o de pr\u00e1ctica en\u00a0 importantes firmas como Emblem Communications, Adrian Mustelin Spectales y Martin Lamothe.\u00a0 Para Andrea, el bagaje adquirido hasta ese momento, sumado a su conexi\u00f3n con la moda, fueron\u00a0 condiciones inequ\u00edvocas para decidir inscribirse en 2009 en el Istituto Marangoni de Londres,\u00a0 donde inici\u00f3 sus estudios de dise\u00f1o de moda. All\u00ed, retom\u00f3 sus ra\u00edces creativas; el resultado fue una\u00a0 colecci\u00f3n de grado que present\u00f3 en 2012, premiada como la mejor de su cohorte. Ese mismo a\u00f1o,\u00a0 recibi\u00f3 la invitaci\u00f3n de la feria Cali Exposhow para presentar su colecci\u00f3n en este evento; \u00e9sta fue su\u00a0 primera pasarela, la cual le mereci\u00f3 excelentes cr\u00edticas y varias propuestas comerciales.\u00a0 Circunstancias que la motivaron a asumir el liderazgo del taller de marroquiner\u00eda que perteneci\u00f3 a su\u00a0 madre e iniciar la estructuraci\u00f3n de su propia marca.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

As\u00ed naci\u00f3 Andrea Landa, la marca. Una propuesta de car\u00e1cter atemporal y universal que conjuga el\u00a0 lenguaje tradicional con el contempor\u00e1neo. Cualidades que r\u00e1pidamente llamaron la atenci\u00f3n del\u00a0 p\u00fablico y el medio, de hecho, en 2013 particip\u00f3 en El Cubo, plataforma que da a conocer nuevas\u00a0 propuestas de moda en el pa\u00eds. En 2014 fue seleccionada para la pasarela Cultura E de la Alcald\u00eda\u00a0 de Medell\u00edn y ese mismo a\u00f1o la dise\u00f1adora recibi\u00f3 el IAF – Designer Fashion Award, un\u00a0 reconocimiento de car\u00e1cter internacional, que la llev\u00f3 a presentar su colecci\u00f3n el a\u00f1o siguiente en\u00a0 Turqu\u00eda. En 2015 hizo parte del espacio Non Stop de Colombiamoda y fue galardonada por la\u00a0 revista Infashion como dise\u00f1adora revelaci\u00f3n. En 2016 particip\u00f3, nuevamente, en Colombiamoda\u00a0 con la pasarela Infashion. Durante 2017, la marca se enfoc\u00f3 en consolidar su identidad y en abrir\u00a0 mercados internacionales. En 2018 Andrea Landa regres\u00f3 a Colombiamoda e hizo parte de la\u00a0 pasarela Chevrolet.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

La trayectoria de la firma incluye la participaci\u00f3n por tres a\u00f1os consecutivos en la feria Caravana\u00a0 Americana, colaboraciones con firmas como Johana Ortiz y Superga, entre otras. As\u00ed mismo,\u00a0 rese\u00f1as en importantes publicaciones nacionales e internacionales.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Actualmente, a la marca se sum\u00f3 su hermana Catalina quien tiene un amplio conocimiento de retail,\u00a0 mercadeo y brand management, pues lleva m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os trabajando en estos temas con marcas\u00a0 como Nine West, Steve Madden, Parfois, Coach, entre otras. Juntas con su padrea Jos\u00e9 Carlos que\u00a0 se encarga de todos los temas financieros trabajan d\u00eda a d\u00eda en fortalecer sus estrategias comerciales\u00a0 sostenibles enfocadas en los mercados internacionales con el fin de llevar este legado al mundo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
